Model Railroading on the Cheap

   There is a small building near the caboose track at Yardley Terminal that is used for storing supplies used by train crewmen. This includes items like coupler knuckles, air brake hoses, gaskets, gloves, fusses, lantern oil and flashlight batteries, first aid kit, bottled drinking water etc. We call this building the caboose stores house.

   Here it looks like a train crew is about ready to leave for a run. Soon the Yardley Switcher will attach this caboose to the train and the road locomotive will head it out onto the mainline. Is that a delivery of more supplies from the truck with the opened door in the background?    You may notice that the plastic cabooses on the layout have custom decals and have also been modified somewhat from stock appearance.  All the cabooses that I run on the layout have been chopped in some way. The way I feel is I don’t want to waste custom decals on common cars.
